We are a traditional and contemporary acapella group from Lilongwe, Malawi. We trace our roots back to four God-loving young men who met at an Adventist Youth camp. Originally a quartet, they began their musical journey together, united by their shared passion for music and faith.
In 2014, the group expanded to include additional members, including female vocalists, while the original quartet transitioned to form The Christ in Song Quartet, taking over from the earlier Christ in Song Quartet led by Sweeney Chimkango and friends. Our unique sound blends traditional acapella with rich four-part vocal harmonies, creating uplifting music that inspires listeners to remember God's presence and intervention in life's challenges. Over the years, we have released two albums: Taomboledwa, our debut album launched in 2023, and Kwa Ife Ayi, our second album, which was launched in 2024 as part of our 10th anniversary celebration at the prestigious Bingu International Conference Centre. Our music resonates deeply with audiences, offering hope and comfort during difficult times. As one Facebook follower, Enert Chifunga, shared: "There are times when you feel so overwhelmed by everything happening in the world that you don't even know what to say in prayer. In those moments, songs from The Harps carry us through. The hope their music brings makes you feel God's presence."
